Social Entrepreneurship in 11th SISPAT


Isabela Menezes was invited to give a lecture Isabela Menezes gave a lecture on the 11th SIPAT (Internal Week for the Prevention of Accidents at Work, Environment and Vocational Guidance) Society Benefactor Jaguaré on the theme of social entrepreneurship, on the 14th of November.

The lecture was addressed to 90 young people in the region, in a dynamic format and informal, two-hour conversation. Initially, Isabela made ​​the screening of the film “Who cares?” Mara Mourão which deals with social entrepreneurs around the world, valuing people with innovative ideas and new directions to be taken in our society.

After the screening, Menezes opened a wheel conversations where we were discussing the film and initiatives in the region and elsewhere, based on their work experience. The closing was more formal, with a presentation on what is social entrepreneurship in practice and its main concepts. The reception and participation of young people during the talk was productive.

The proposal of the week was rich, full of trained professionals who transmitted their experiences for young people. The Office of Sustainability was representing his Oroboros Project which aims to be an ongoing project in lectures, courses and training processes in order to ensure sustainable transition in different places and causing more actions without shutting down the process, just renewing it.

This was the second invitation to attend Benefactor Jaguaré type events. The entity, nonprofit, works with the development and implementation of socio-educational programs, sports and economic for children, adolescents, and young adults in situations of social vulnerability.
